The second phase of Nikal’s £70m Altair scheme in Altrincham town centre has just been approved by Trafford Council.
Work on phase one has already started in January consisting of 59 apartments and ground floor retail. 30% of the flats have already been sold off plan.
Our CGI were successfully used by Nikal to communicate their scheme in the press and for planning consultation.
Stephenson Studio is the architect on the second stage of the 4.5-acre development. Four buildings will offer a total of 85 one, two and three-bedroom apartments to be delivered by Nikal’s homebuilding arm Hillcrest Homes.
On completion, the development next to the new transport interchange is set to include a 43,000 sq ft leisure centre, 96,000 sq ft of retail and restaurants, coffee shops and cafes, a 7,400 sq ft bowling alley, 150 apartments and townhouses, and 35,000 sq ft of office space and a car park.
Nikal’s phase one plans for Altair also include a new entrance for Altrincham Ice Rink and a landscaped pedestrianised area with space for outside seating and pavement cafés.
Altair has been developed by Nikal in partnership with Trafford Council and Altrincham Forward.
