Our Studio is a dedicated team of artists, designers, illustrators and producers. Together, we’re proud to collaborate with architects and property developers around the world, bringing their ideas to life in 3D.

As a collective committed solely to visualising buildings and spaces, we’re true industry specialists – we understand the technical nuances, project processes and journey touchpoints required to transform an architect’s vision into something commercially viable.

Since switching on our PCs in 2009, we’ve become an essential part of each client’s design process. We’ve helped to gain planning permission, earn funding, win tenders and market developments. Success that’s meant as much to us as them.

Because, while we love creating stunning designs in the digital realm, we love seeing them in the real world even more.

Sam Crothers

Co-founder & Managing Director

Sam has worked in design, marketing and visualisation for 17 years. In this time, she’s spearheaded award-winning projects for PFI, planning and marketing purposes, across a spectrum of sectors: retail, leisure, residential, commercial, regeneration and education.

Since setting up Our Studio in 2009, Sam has ensured that everything is in place to deliver every project to the highest standards, on time and on budget.

Nick Harrison

Co-founder & Creative Director

Nick set up Our Studio with Sam in 2009, but has been a lead visualisation artist for over 14 years. He’s worked on high profile projects such as the Olympics 2012 masterplan, Dubai Festival City, The World development in Dubai, No 1 Spinningfields and St John’s Masterplan in Manchester as well as The Avenues in Kuwait.

With an in-depth understanding of architecture and the design process, Nick liaises directly with the architects to ensure design information is interpreted correctly throughout the project.


James Brown

Director of Production

James has been with Our Studio almost from the start, joining us in 2010. James’ role has developed and grown with the studio and his ever-evolving technical knowledge and people management skills has led to him overseeing all our production.

With a keen interest in composition and experimental film techniques, and a mastery of editing and post-production, James has an important role on our larger film projects ensuring that we’re always optimising resources and working as collaboratively as possible with the latest technology.

Alex Farrell

Senior 3D Artist & Animator

Since owning a ZX Spectrum in his formative years, Alex knew he’d work with computers. But it was while studying Computer Games Design that he developed a passion for animation.

Alex sees 3D Studio Max as his film set, somewhere to create a story and be responsible for lighting, cameras and special effects. While his passion for photography results in CGIs built upon the discipline’s compositional principles.


Thea Marshall-Behrendt

Lead 3D Artist

Thea joined Our Studio as our lead 3D artist after spending 5 years in London working as a Senior Visualiser for renowned studios, Miller Hare and VMI. Thea studied Architecture for 4 years before completing her Masters degree in Visualisation. Her background has helped hone her skills in the world of Arch Vis and she has an incredible eye for detail, lighting and storytelling. Thea continues to play a collaborative role in pushing creative boundaries in the studio.

Lucy Devane

Senior Project Manager

Lucy is our dynamic and creative Senior Project Manager. She came from Space-2, where she spent four years as their location and regional co-ordinator.

Having studied Fine Art and Sculpture at Manchester Metropolitan University, Lucy offers a unique insight into the creative industries which, combined with excellent client management and communication skills, ensures every project is delivered smoothly and successfully.

Owen Mason

3D Artist

Owen joined us fresh out of university with a degree in Product Design. Impressed by his keen eye for detail and passion for 3D, we’ve seen Owen go from strength to strength as he demonstrates a hunger to learn and true natural talent.

Owen’s attention to detail and artist’s eye are both evident in both interior and exterior CGI he has created for some of our key Developer and Architect clients.

James Cook

3D Artist

James’ passion for visualisation began at university whilst studying for his degree in Architecture. This led to working inhouse as a visualiser in an architectural practice for over 8 years, where he built up the detailed knowledge and disciplined techniques needed to deliver projects.

Since then James has worked on large and small projects all over the UK & New York and always enjoys grounding his work around the values of good photography, composition & light.

Dan Zammit

3D Artist

Dan’s degree in Architectural Visualisation at the University of Bournemouth resulted in a full-time position as a Junior Artist at The Neighbourhood. Impressed by his work, we welcomed him to Our Studio two and half years later in 2018.

Dan has a keen passion for VR and sees it as a new digital challenge and powerful tool for 3D visualisation. He enjoys how it allows him to engage with architecture beyond the physical constraints of the real world.


David Hyde

3D Artist

Whilst studying for a degree in Interior Design, Dave discovered a passion for visualisation and it was at that point that he decided to pursue a career in Architectural Visualisation. His first 3D Artist role was at Visualisation One followed by some time at Simpson Haugh & Partners before embarking on a freelance career. This led Dave to working with various studios in the UK and US on a large range of projects across various sectors. After many years of freelancing with Our Studio, he knew that the Our Studio culture was one that he wanted  to be a part of. We were delighted to have Dave join us as a 3D Artist full time in 2020.

Jasmin Wall

Junior 3D Artist

We snapped Jasmin up as our Junior 3D Artist and have enjoyed seeing her talents being developed. Jasmin always knew she wanted a creative career having completed a University Degree in Visual Effects. She was instantly drawn to 3DSMax spending hours creating virtual environments and working for a residential property developer for her first job. Jasmin is enjoying learning new skills and software and developing both her technical and artistic skills.
